What is the herbal stuff you used to help you quit dipping/chewing (not sure which you did)? I'm trying to quit dipping and using the nicotine gum, but the stuff is very hard and tough to chew and it's hurting my teeth.....I need some help!

Jojo,
I am in the process of quitting dipping. I dipped Copenhaugen, Skoal and RedSeal for the last 25 years. I've tried the majority of all the different imitation snuffs. They all taste like crap as compared to the real thing, but have found that Smokey Mountain (wintergreen) has the least bad taste. I bought mine at Wal Mart for $2.38 per can. Check out their website. Click here (Smokey Mountain's website) (http://www.smokeysnuff.com/) It will describe it much better than I can.
I have tried the nico. gum as well and found out that instead of dipping all day, I'd simply be chewing the nico. gum all day. Didn't seem to make any real progress using this route. But you maybe different and have success(?) By using the patch, I know that I'm going to get a predetermined amount of nicotine - no matter what. I chewed the Smokey Mtn. for the first few weeks. Now I'm chewing bubble gum and RedHots. I plan on going down to the 14 mg. patch this Monday.
Please let me know if I can help you and best of luck,
Dave
