You're unlikely to be nuts, this is an experience everybody goes through now and then. I can walk in the door happy as a lark, then one little thing will send me into a really awful mood. I usually go for a walk, or the best thing is a swim, it calms you down.

Something must be making you feel tense because when you're stressed the slightest thing will set you off.

Try exercise, it's a great way to release. Or a competitive sport, like basket ball is fantastic too.

Otherwise you may look at why you're feeling like this, - are you overworked, not enough sleep, need a holiday etc. If you can pinpoint it, then you can fix it.

This can also be a common problem with depression. I'm not saying this is you but I know that is how I am and I do have a problem with depression. I hate myself when I get like that. Like you said it doesn't take much. Like the above poster said, exercise does help.

I have to agree 100%... I would try somthing that is not in you daily activities. By trying something new that takes your mind off the stress because you are concetrating on somthing else.

Try a little cognitive behavioural therapy exercise......what is it you are REALLY frustrated about that's causing your feelings at this time? Write that down when you're feeling ticked. It's not about others, it's about you. What are you feeling about yourself? When we're angry at others, we end up putting ourselves in the position of victim. There are ways you can rationalise the situation with options so that you will feel less stressed about things in general.

I can relate 100%. Just remember, there are times we can actually get addicted to that kind of release. I do have a good scream when I'm feeling anxious..with no one around and feel better afterward. I then seek other things I could have done instead.

The release isn't bad, as long as you are able to pinpoint the actual reasons you are frustrated. That's where the CBT comes in.

Any exercise, walking, other helpful physical activities as well as listening to music or reading or even watching tv or getting on the computer can help with one's mood.

Remember, it's what YOU'RE thinking and believing about those thoughts.

Best to you,
quincy
