Hi to you all,
A friend just told me about infrared therapy, a physical therapy modality that is an old-time modality that is becoming popular once again for treatment of PN. I called my local PT dept and it is not available there, has anyone tried this or looked for more search info about it? Just curious. It may be helpful for those of us who do not do well on all of the mind-numbing drugs. I just wonder if it is effective.

Hi to all dear ones,
I am just gently bumping this up and hoping someone may have some personal experience to share regarding infrared therapy for neuropathy.
Thanks.

I have been using the infrared light therapy ( Anodyne is the name of the unit ) at my doctor's office and am in the process of buying my own. Expensive! It seems to work for me. It allows me to use less neurontin and I have less pain in the evening. I find that I'm not watching the clock for time to finally take my pills. 4500 mg. daily. ( 900mg 5 times a day ) It has to be used regularly since the effects are cumulative. I really can tell the difference if I miss even a week. I plan to use it daily and hope it lessons the awful pain in both feet. Should be getting it any day. I will keep all of informed.

Good luck to you! I am glad tightsocks, that you have found something that helps. I am still searching. It must be a real relief to have found something that helps.

Hi. I have received my anodyne machine and have been using it for 10 days every day on my calfs and soles. It does seem to be helping. I will be buying it if it works out like I am hoping. I am cautiously optomistic at this point.
