Lately I have been experiencing nausea. I never get this unless I am pregnant or really ill (flu or food poisoning). Since I am neither (thank heavens) I just wonder if this is another perimenopause symptom.

I get up in the morning and drink down quickly a cup of tea and the next thing you know I am nauseated. Plus I will be eating dinner and during it I will feel nauseated. It has happened three times now and I am getting a little concerned.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Has this happened to anyone else? I have been experiencing nausea for about 4 weeks now. Sometimes it is in the morning when I first awake, sometimes in the afternoon between 5 to 6 pm. It is not like I think I will vomit it is more a queasy feeling. I was wondering about it too. I am glad you posted now I know it is probably just one more of these symptoms. Hope you feel better soon. :)

Has this happened to anyone else? Hi Belle. While I haven't suffered from this particular symptom (knock wood ;) ) "Gastrointestinal distress, indigestion, flatulence, gas pain, nausea " makes the list of menopause symptoms @ the Minnie Pauz site. ('if ya don't get it, ya ain't there yet!' heh heh :bouncing: )
I'm afraid that the only help I can offer is: B-complex vitamin and ginger tea.
Sure hope you feel better soon! By the way, here's an entire thread on just this question: http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=71096

Thank you for the thread. I read it and it was interesting. It seems perimenopause and menopause sufferers both have had the nausea. Lucky me, I can have this now and when I reach menopause.

Well hopefully after reading Dr. Lee's book, I will learn how to take better care of myself and by doing that the nausea symptoms will disappear. A girl can only hope!

I don't think you should resign yourself to these symptoms. Check out Gittleman's books, too. By following her advice (and Dr. Lee's...they dovetail nicely) I'm symptom-free and having the time of my life! :jester:
Well...DH is pretty convinced I am, anyhoo. Heh heh.

I am new to this site, and stumbled onto it at 4:30 a.m. this morning when I woke up shaking inside and feeling like I was going to throw up. This all started three weeks ago witha violent attack of vomiting. Since then, I have had 2 periods. I have always been really regular, and did not even connect the nausea to this new bleeding. All my labs have been normal, and I had a pelvic ultrasound a couple of days ago which I have not heard from yet. I am scheduled to see a "gastro" doc Wed. Now I am not so sure it is a gastric thing, but maybe perimenepause. What do I do ???

I hope you went to the stomach doctor. I do not like to diagnose myself when I have severe symptoms. If I was vomiting severely and it kept on reoccuring I would definitely go to the doctor.

I just get nauseated, and fortunately I do not throw up.
