Hi Laurie--
Just thinking of you right now, and realized that this Thursday is your 4 month anniversary! Girl, time flies when we're having fun, doesn't it? And I'll have 6 months on the 24th of this month. You know, when we started here, I never truly thought that I would make it this long. I am grateful. :) Miss seeing you everyday like before, you must be keeping really busy these days, and I know you were talking about moving. But whatever you're doing, just know that you're in my thoughts girl!
Love, DEDA

Deda,
I came onto the scene at the tail-end of LL29's reign. :) But I agree with you - I too miss her.
I've often wondered what I'm going to do once I've got multiple months under my belt and things are going well. I'm talking about should I stick around and help others, just as I have been helped - or should I intentionally not keep reminding myself of tobacco by frequenting this site? Does that make sense? Don't know what I'm going to do and will cross that bridge when I get there. But I consider that a "good" problem to be faced with. :)
Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave...Mr. 14 MG. MAN!! LOL!!!! :dizzy:
You sound SO wise, Dave. Yes, that is a good problem to be stuck with. And I hope that you will stick around, as I think you can help a lot of people along with your own wisdom and experience.
Now as far as NOT reminding yourself by coming to this site...well...that depends on how you feel about reminding yourself. I feel that I need to always remember how difficult it was for me to come to the decision to quit, it takes me years between quits to quit again!! And I feel (for me anyway) that posting here and helping other people, helps to strengthen my resolve. And reading other posts of what other folks go through when they are trying to decide to quit, or those 1st rough weeks when they DO quit...well, it helps me to hear that, and REMINDS me of how it was, and how it WILL be again if I cave in and go back. I need to be reminded. Now my DH, well he quit 1 year ago, and altho he says that he still thinks about smoking, and even still craves one occasionally, he would rather not talk about it, or think about it! WHATEVER works for us WE must do, I guess!!
Yes, I miss Laurie a bunch, and her very upbeat and so very encouraging posts!! She's definitely the cheerleader around here, and a real blessing too...
She helped me out a lot here when I was first quitting. Maybe she'll be around soon!!
(Miss ya LL!!! :)
Well Dave I hope you have a wonderful tobacco free day, (and life), and I hope you'll hang around for a while more, at least... and congratulations on your patch step down to 14 mgs!!

Sorry I've been away for a minute huh? LOL Yes, still smoke free and over 4 months now and thank you guys soooo much for the nice comments and missing me. :) I missed you guys too but yes between work, taxes, dating, cleaning, spring cleaning (still not done yet), helping my sister start her own business from afar, and the list goes on.... Whew just tired of thinking about it. ;)
Not much new here - just been busy but def. wanted to come out and tell you all how proud I am of ya - DEDA :bouncing: 6 months any minute now and Dave - AWESOME :bouncing: - although again I'm not surprised - it was expected of you two ;)
I want to read a few of the others and I'll def. try to come here at least once a week or more if I can. I spend so much time out here so maybe I can always just answer one post so you know where I am. LOL
Love you guys and keep up the great work :) Smelling good and smoke free here :)
