My mother uses Albuterol for allergy related asthma and it seems to make her extremely tense, nervous, irritable, etc. Has anyone else experienced these side effects? Any information would be much appreciated as it has us all worried. She also takes NasalCrom and Flonase.

How long has she been uing the inhalant? Those are ALL side effects that should go away. If they don't go away or seem to worsen, talk to the doc yourself. There should be another way to get through the breathing problem.

She jsut told me that she actually doesn't use it very often at all but just keeps it with her in case of emergency. She does use NasalCrom twice a day - could that be causing the irritability?

Since antihistamines can cause some irritability, it may be posible. I would still consult the doctor to be sure all is well though.
