Has anyone had a consultation or even surgery done by Dr. Ellenbogen. I have heard very good things about him, and unfortunately, I didn't get to consult with him, but I did consult with Raj Kanodia. The thread about African American noses has how my visit with him went. At any rate, I am really considering going to him for my primary rhinoplasty, please respond with any information. I would like to know information about him too. I am looking for a dr. too. I have a consultation next month with Dr. Casper in Pasadena. We will see how that goes but I am still looking for other doctors to meet with.

Well I just made an appt to see Dr. Ellenbogen. The consultation fee is $200. Ouch but it goes toward your surgery if you decide yo go to him. Still that is a lot of money. We will see if I decide to see him or not. My appt is not until 03/30 so I still have time to think about and possibly cancel

All I can tell you is that I would look for someone else other than dr ellenbogen. That is all I can say. No more info. sorry

I have made appts to see Dr. Nassif and Dr. Rollin Daniel. I have heard excellent stuff about the both of them.

This was my 4th rhino, my nose now looks better than my natural nose ever looked, new natural nostrils, nice tip, totally natural look, 1-10 I wouold say 9.5 This Dr. is amazing, you have to meet him and listen to him, he is very straight forward and will tell you exactly what's going on and what he can do for you. He is internationally known for his unique eye for beauty, and now I can see why

I hear that doctors pay their office staff to scan message boards and post up not entirely true information. Just my opinion but it is an opinion many others hold as well. Sorry :(

I agree with you... The message extolling the virtues of this surgeon sound as if they came straight from his office staff. In fact, it uses the very same expressive terms used on his own website. Spare me.
He has $$$ invested in PR and writes impressive papers for publication in medical journals, which, unfortunately, do not translate into his ability to deliver on your face.

I had a consultation awhile ago from Dr. Ellenbogen and am about to schedule my nose revision and chin revision with him. The consultation was $200, but it was entirely worth it. He took an hour and half with me going over everything he thought he could do. The other doctors I've seen, albeit only a few, were so terse, asking me what I wanted done, telling me how much it costs, and if I'd like to schedule see the secretary.
I've thought about these "Extreme Makeover" doctors. I'm sure they're raising their prices to meet Dr. Ellenbogen's high costs, but I don't think that means they're more qualified, as Ellenbogen's is by reputation and the EM doctors are by fame. As best I can tell they use four doctors consistently in the LA area Jon Perlman, Garth Fisher, a few others...I'm going to look into their records and see how qualified they are, or if ABC just chose them arbitrarily.
