View Full Version : Fed Ex nightmare, now stuck at work

 I am on two meds (Xanax and Ultram) for a combination of symptoms: anxiety, depression, and some moderate pain from endometriosis. Well my Ultram ran out on Friday night and so Friday morning I had ordered refill via Fed Ex, paying $16 extra for Saturday delivery. Two things I did wrong: 1. I left the Fed Ex tracking # at my job which is a good 45 minutes from my home and 2. I did not stash an emergency supply of Ultram anywhere. I took the last ones Friday night.

My parents ( who live about 10 minutes from my house) get my Fed Ex deliveries because they are almost always home. Well they did run to the store for maybe an hour early Sat morn but were back by 10 am. No note on door that Fed Ex had been there. (IF a note had been there, I would have had plenty of time to go to my office, get the tracking info, and drive right to the Fed Ex depot and pick the package up, which I have done before). I held out until 4 pm and then when no package arrived, I started to panic.

Well the story continues with me going through unpleasant withdrawals Sat night, Sunday (during which I had to go stand at a St Patty's day parade), and now at work, feeling awful and shaky; the online tracking shows that yes Fed Ex tried to deliver right when my parents were out Saturday morning. Now I have to wait until I leave work today to get the meds at my parents, and I STILL have to pay the extra for Saturday delivery!!!!!!!!!!

I put this on here because I think the topic doesn't quite fit the Addiction or Depression or Pain Management board, as my problem is how to get through this day feeling so weird (even though I took my .25 Xanax before work this morning.)

ultram is supposed to be a painkiller, dose it also reduce your anxiety?
more xanax would help, your dose isnt very large

Ultram/Tramadol is supposed to have both painkiller and antidepressant qualities. But it is physically addictive and that's why I was "off" yesterday. I got my refill and feel back to !normal (normal for me anyway). I just needed to vent here yesterday! I don't like taking extra Xanax, 'cause I am trying to taper down to only .25 in the morning.

xanax is better taken as needed in an effective dose,a morning dose wont last all day, only 2 or 3 hours

some strong painkillers also reduce panic attacks and anxiety, with an addiction risk
