Good morning guys/gals,
Hope everyone is doing well. I've been doing fine, with the exception of some depression that comes and goes. Nothing too bad, though and attribute this to the fact that I'm only 4 weeks into quitting. I wonder if this is normal?
Just wanted to stick my head in to mention the fact that I stepped down from the 21 mg. patch to the 14 mg. this morning. The day is almost half way over and I can't tell much of any difference. I hope it stays this way.
At any rate, I sure hope everyone's well and staying successful in their quitting efforts. As always if I can help anyone quit chewing tobacco (I'll leave the smoking up to the smokers) just give me a shout.
Take care,
Dave

Hi Dave--
Yes, it seems that a lot of us get a little depressed at first when we quit smoking, nd I don't see why giving up chewing tobacco would be any different. Hang in there Dave, you're still quite new in your quit, it just takes time. Try to do something you enjoy when you're feeling that way. :) Sometimes, (yes, I still get the blues over not being able to smoke sometimes, it's usually that I'm not doing anything) I can lift my mood up with some good music and get busy woth something that occupies my mind. I had a day like that last week, and took my music box out in the backyard and ended up doing some weeding of my flowerbeds, (by hand). Talk about therapeutic!! My blues were forgotton fast, and I got a bit of a tan, which always lifts me up!! I don't really know why at times I feel sorry for myself that I can't smoke, because if I was smoking, and when I did smoke, it depressed me that I couldn't quit!!
Glad to hear that the patch step down is going well for you! That's really such a small decrease, you should be okay.
Wow, day #29!!!! Way to go, DAVE!!!!!
