Just wondering if anyone else has had stomach/intestinal problems related to Singulair and if they've stopped taking the medicine b/c of the stomach upset/gas. I've also been having some crazy/vivid dreams since I started taking the stuff and although I know that this is also listed as a possible side effect, I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same side effects and to what extent.

Hi Lucy
I didn't have the stomach upsets with Singulair but I had the weird dream problem. Terrible nightmares! It took me a while to realise what the problem was but the dreams were really awful & I eventually worked out it was the Singulair. My doctor took me off it as it didn't make a significant difference to my asthma .

Lucy
I was diagnosed with asthma in May and began taking Singulair. I have NOT experienced vivid dreams with Singulair, but I had to stop the medicine after three months because of stomach upset. At first I just experienced nausea, but that turned into stomach pains every day. I was hardly able to eat and began to lose weight so my doctor took me off of Singulair. Now I'm taking Pulmicort Turbuhaler.
Hope this helps. :)
P.S. After I stopped taking the medicine I noticed that the ingredients included "lactose monohydrate". I'm not sure if the medicine contained enough to be the cause of the problem, but found it interesting because I cannot eat milk products.
