It has been 2 days of a continual asthma attack. I went to doc yesterday and after 3 nebulizer treatments sent me to er. There I got another treatment and a script for steroids and albuterol inhaler. i have had 2 doses of steroids (60 mg of prednesone) and it is not helping. I am breathing a little easier but I am no where near a full breath. I plan to call doc tomorrow who will probably refer me to allergist (I am hoping) but all of this takes time. I cannot live like this! I have 3 young children and I am just surviving (hubby been home for 2 days) I am not sleeping at night--I am afraid that I will stop breathing as it takes so much energy just to inhale. I would appreicate any suggestions. Seeing an allergist is on my list but I don't know when that will happen. I am distrustful of meds as none have helped thus far.
Any suggestions?

Hi,

I'm a father with a 11 year old son, who's suffered with chronic asthma and allergies since he was 5. About 2 years ago, my son was taking claritin, singular, asthmacort, and rhinacort daily, and allergy shorts twice a week. Not to mention the times when he would have flare ups and we'd give him nebulizer treatments or when he would use his inhaler. Like clockwork, he would get an allergy infection about every 3 months. At that point they would add 2 addition meds (steroid and antibiotics). At any given time my son would be on 6 different meds. Well, that just broke my wife and I heart. The depressing part of it all is, he was only getting worse.

Well, I was introduced to a product called Tahitian Noni juice (TNJ). After much research, I begin to administer 2 onces of TNJ a day to my son and in 5 months had gradually eliminated all his meds. It's actually been 2 years, this month, since he's had an asthma attack, and only 2 mild allergy infections. To respect and attempt to maintain the integrity of this website, the only info I will offer about this product is that it's all natural and completely organic. If you request more info, I'll be happy to provide it for you.

All I can share with you is that my wife and I are so pleased to have my son's asthma under control.

In the meantime, you will be included in our prayers.

Thanks for replying so fast. I am still desperate and not breathing well. However, I am not being treated for pneumonia. My chest x-ray showed no fluid but the doc thinks this may be the problem as no other meds are working. I should know in the next day if the anti-biotics are working or if I need to further investigate the asthma meds. Thanks for prayers. Trying to optimistic,
LeClancy

I've had severe asthma and allergic rhinitis for several years. I was on serevent, flovent, and claritin-d, and nasacortQ, plus albuterol several times a day. Nine months ago, I changed my whole way of eating. Plenty of protein, whole grains, and veggies. Added omega 3's, in the form of fish oils and flax oil, and b vitamins, vitamin c and zinc. Cut out wheat and cow dairy products, and sugars, and refined foods, and lo and behold, I was able to come off all the meds, except using the albuterol inhaler occasionally, when I'm triggered by smoke or something like that. I couldn't even walk up stairs without feeling that I was going to pass out, and now I am able to run up 27 steps several times a day in the library where I work.
