Hi,
I am a 27 yr old guy who had safe sex three times with an HIV individual ( that person did not tell me he was infected..*******). This happened last August. I had an HIV test done after three weeks. Negative. Then my head started spinning, had difficulty concentrating, fatigue...all this in beginning November...I was scared...had no other symptoms..had a test done in December 5 months after encounters...negative.,..no other symptoms...
Still my head spinning is getting worse, on and off, hard to concentrate. Tired...Doctors say this does not seem like HIV....PLEASE ANYONE..ANY ADVICE? I AM SO SCARED.
Thanks

a 90 day mark or 3 month test after your last possible exposure is conclusive. i know it is hard to believe. a condom is a very safe tool to prevent the spread of HIV if used correctly and everytime. even if you had NOT used a condom there is a transmission rate of 1/500-1/8000 of infection from a known + person. you should not give this any further thought. it could be that you are so stressed that you are weakening your immune system with your mind. try the stress and anxiety board here too, there are some great people on there. good luck to you.

I think that after five months there is no way that your negative result is wrong. You ARE NOT HIV positive!!!!!!!!! I think that you are too worried about this and you are bringing these symptoms on yourself. Try and find some relaxing activities and stop thinking about it because you have no worries about your HIV result. If the spinning continues then go see your doctor again for some treatment. If he doesnt know what is going on then see if he will give you a referal to a neurologist who may know a little more about this. good luck.
