wheezing all the way

I have been having hip pain for a while now. I was on steroids (medrol) for about eight months, then I finally got off it, even three weeks after being off it, I still experienced hip pain. Now, I'm back on twenty mgs of pred BID (twice a day), once at 7 and once at 3. Even though I still have hip pain, today I experienced knee pain. Any knee pain in you normal pred takers???

I have not had a dexascan, though I will soon to check for osteopoenia.

Hi there ... I recently started getting terrible pain in my legs when I'm on high doses of pred, especially in my knees. They actually swell up quite badly. I never had this problem until earlier this year but I've been on pred steady for aboout 4 years and I guess its catching up with me. My doctors didn't have much to suggest - asprin is out - so I just took Tylenol. The pain gradually went away and on my 10 mg maintenance dose it is just occassionaly twinges. Hope you're getting some relief.
