My boyfriend has asthma and is trying to get over a bad cold. He said the cold is now in his lungs and he's having a very hard time breathing. I know he is in a lot of pain. Is there anything he can take or do to help this situation?

He can take care of his asthma extra closely while he has this cold, because it will exacerbate the condition.
