I have occassional panic attacks and although they are horrible at the time, they go away. My problem is nervousness/stress. Many days I feel so physically ill, shaky, nervous etc. I don't even know why.
Like right now I am so shaky I can barely type, my legs are weak and shaky, my stomach feels tense. I can go on like this all day long. The meds don't seem to be helping(20mg Paxil). Anyone else feel like this? How do you cope?
Thanks
Abby

paxil will help your nervousness and stress if it works for you, sometimes the dose needs upping, when did you start taking it?
fear of future panic attacks can cause the stress, you need to learn to relax, breathe deep and slow, do some gentle exercise, try to not worry

Thanks, my Dr just upped my paxil-so am now taking 30mg(today was first day). I have been on Paxil for about a month, maybe a bit longer. I am feeling better tonight-I tend to feel worse during the day. I know I need to start walking or some form of excercise, been meaning to for years. :)
I think most of it is fear. Fear of another attack, and of the weird sensations I get off and on throughout the day. I keep thinking theses ALL can't be from stress... I have been shaky all day today, could it be from upping the Paxil?
Thanks for the quick reply.

I have had a problem with stress and anxiety in the past and still now to some extent but it is better that it was. I had many symptoms, the shakes, blood pressure would spike high, chest pains, lightheadedness just to name a few. Everytime I would get a symptom I would go to the doctor and he would rule out anything physical. He finally convinced me my problem was stress. I read up on stress and learned all that I could about it. If I learned anything I learned this, the more you worry about it the worse it gets. When I stopped worrying about it, because I understood it now, the better everything got. The mind can have so much control with this sort of thing.
