I am writing just to get advice from different people.I have been writing on the aidsmed board and have got great advice from the people there and am really thankful to them but just need some more advice and opinions as I am getting tested tomorrow.When I told my story I was told basically I had nil risk and not to worry which is great but i cant accept it because of my symptoms and the timing of them.I hope no one is offended on that board!!
Here is my story:
Deep kissing and fingering of pro in asia.Those two things no longer concern me,it is what happen after.I had a large 2-3 hour old graze on my elbow and was having a shower why doing kissing etc.Water on a graze softens the scab.When I finished fingering her we quickly got out, I did nt wash my hands.
About 1min later I jumped on the bed and got a back rub for about 15mins but while getting the rub I was holding my elbow and pressing quite tightly on the graze ,which might have been bleeding ,with my finger with the vaginal fluids on it.
10-12 days later I got night sweats for three weeks,after this got swollen lymph nodes in groin,then later in arm pits,knees ,collar bone etc.I also had other symptoms as well, but those are the ones that bother me the most.My lymph nodes now seem to disappearing finally but this also fits in with ars.
Ok, so what does everyone think???

Hello there,

WEll i think there is a risk in your situation, but a VERY SMALL one. I think vaginal fluid has a much lower viral load then blood for example. So this is a good thing. Also the vaginal fluid was probably mostly wiped off from getting out of the shower etc so there would have been very little to get into your scrape on your arm. Perhaps your parnter wasnt even infected as well so no worries then. You are doing the right thing by getting tested, and your chances for infection are there, but very small. let us know how the results came back
