I'm getting a physical on Monday. I'm gonna ask to get my cholesterol checked. How long does it usually take to get the results?

Yep.. it doesn't take long to get the results. To warn you though, you have to fast from midnight on in order for the test to be accurate, otherwise anything you eat that is still in your system can alter the test. If you don't fast, they won't do the test.

Depends on where you have sample drawn. When I go to my internist, they draw blood when I arrive, and have results before I leave. When going to my regular family care Dr., takes two to three days.
