Does anyone have experience with the use of zyprexa for tantrums and outbursts? My son is 11 yrs old and has been on this drug for 3 years. I wonder about long term effects and the appropriateness of this treatment.

Where I work, zyprexa and risperdal are frequently used to treat those manifestations of autism.

Do you know how long those drugs have been used in this manner? Do you see them as effective treatment of those manifestations?
