Hi. I have a son, Chris who is 7 and has spastic CP. I've been looking into alternative therepies, and am quite interested in learning more about Conductive Education. I know that there are many adults with CP who post here... so I was wondering if any of you did Conductive Ed, and how it worked out for you. Also, if there are any parents on here whose child has had it, I'd also like to know about the experience. My son is already doing very well with using his spasticity to his advatage, which is what I've heard CE tries to work on. My son can roll from front to back, and back to front, and also almost able to pull himself into a sitting postion from floor lying. All are skills that he has relearned since having hip surgery 2 years ago ( which didn't turn out very well at all). Before the surgery he could bear weight in his legs and was almost ready to use a gait trainer. I'm hoping that CE could be a great thing for him... and maybe help to bring out more of the skills he has lost. So, if anyone has any experience with CE, I would love to hear about it! Thanks! :)
