I had a primary and revision with Dr. Tobias. I am still unhappy. I think though that my current nose is an improvement. Given my experience, I think that Dr. Tobias is not terrible at revision work. I would, though, certainly not recommend him for a primary. I wish so much that I had gone to someone else for my primary! I am scheduled now for surgery with Dr. Toriumi. I am hoping that he can fix what I don't like about my nose without creating new problems. I am scared out of my mind though. It becomes very hard to trust doctors after these types of experiences. I am still trying though to get a nose that I can feel happy looking at in the mirror. The one piece of advice that I have for everyone is this - if your doctor doesn't do a good surgery the first time, go to someone else! Don't keep using the first one - even if it's free!

But better than that people make sure your first one is a good doctor!
Good luck elle with your revision with Toriumi :)

Just a update. I had my surgery with Toriumi. So far, it is a nightmare. He placed cartilage on my bridge which does not stay in place and so I am supposed to hold it in place for a few minutes at least twenty times per day. It is ruining my life and my nose still doesn't look right. I can't believe that I allowed him to build the bridge when it was really fine before. The rest of my nose is still swollen enough that I can't tell the final result but it looks okay so far.

Another update: My nose is looking much better. Now that some of the swelling has gone down, I can see that the final result should look really good. The cartilage is getting into place and it is much straighter. I breathe better too! I think it is worth saying that it can be difficult to recover from plastic surgery. It is an emotinal and stressful time. I can only say that I am very glad at this point (3 1/2 weeks post-op) that I had the surgery with Dr. Toriumi. :)
