Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me, ive not been feeling well now, for the past few weeks, we have just buried my father in law.

My symptoms are rapid heart beat, especially when i go to bed, feeling sick, tired, but when i go to bed i cant sleep, and ive just got no energy.

My heart is really worrying me

Hi Helen,
Try not to worry about your fast heartrate. There are LOTS of things that could cause it. Do you have any other specific symptoms? Death in your family could be raising your stress level causing some of the symptoms. Death is a major stress producer. Also, do you drink caffeine....coffee, tea, choclate, etc? Caffeine is a stimulant that could speed up your heart rate. Do you take o-t-c decongestants? All of those things can cause your heart rate to speed up. Are you overweight? Do you have high blood pressure? If not and you don't have any other symptoms, try not to worry too much about it. Try to relax and deep breath and take some time off.
