Ok, this is my first post, and I'm just making it because I'm scared out of my mind. For some time now, I have had small bumps on the underside of my penis. There has never been any redness, or rash, and no pain, but I still think it might be herpes. However, I also shave this area frequently. Can anybody give any insight into what might be going on?? Please.

I don't know if I can be of much help but I will try, I think I am in the same boat or denial.... Not sure at this point because I am about going crazy but trying to keep it real.
Anyway, if they are really small red bumps they are probably a shaving rash. If they have any fluids in it then I would say that you should go see a doctor first thing in the morning (probably go either way to be sure). I can only answer this from the things I have read on here since I seem to have not had "blister" symptoms myself. I have read other articles that say they can look like bumps without getting into too much more detail.
I can say that as I am coming to terms with this and if it happens that you do have the disease you to will come to terms with it. Its human nature to survive and this is definately not the end!!!!!! God bless and take care.

i understand that you are scared, but you need to go to a doctor or clinic that deals with STD's if you aren't sure. it is difficult enough for a doctor to diagnose someone in person so you can imagine how difficult it is for us to try and diagnose you via the internet.
i recently had a culture done for herpes, but it came back negative. i'm still not convinced it isn't herpes though so i'm going to have a blood test done.
if you do have herpes it isn't the end of the world. it won't kill you which is the good news. this board is a great place for support so if it turns out that you do have it then come back here and get the support you need.
the most important thing is that you take care of yourself and your health. go to the doctor and get yourself taken care of. best wishes.
