Hi,
I have a very close friend whose father has alzheimers. She just turned 50 and is very irritable, accusatory and hostile alot of the time. She makes scens in public at the slightest thing.
I am concerned that with the genetic link she maybe showing signs.
ANyone's input.
Thank you.

The youngest I've heard of, and this is verifiable, was 29. Do other members in her family have AD? The other consideration is that she's going thru menopause, it can do strange things. Hope you can get her to a doc. The sooner the better.

I, too, have heard a Dr say the youngest on record was 29. Is your friend showing any signs other than irritability and hostility? What about her memory? Does she seem to forget things you just told her? Is she having any problems at work?
Memory loss was my mom's 1st noticeable symptom.

It most likely at her age is hormones plus the stress of having a parent with Alzheimers. My Mother thinks she has it everytime she forgets something, her Mother and two uncles died from it.

Hi
We are in real emergency & need help..This is the case of my 33 yr old brother who I think is now in moderate/late Alzheimer as per doctors. He has a long history of 15 yrs living in all extreme possible stressors viz. Bipolar mania, OCD, Panic states and then a lot real life stresses like betrayal from his business partner, death of our mother etc. Infact twice in last 1 month he just attempted to kill himself cutting his wrist. Investigations showed continuous high levels of cortisol over some yrs. Also 2 yrs back he had his MRI done in India which infact was normal
(Is it possible that a Alzheimer can show normal MRI?). In the begining it was just a worst memory loss, then language problems, confusion and just recently loss of ability to recognise things properly..
CAN SOMEONE THROW ANY LIGHT ON THIS?. IS THERE A CHANCE THAT DOCTORS HAVE MISDIAGNOSED ALZ BECOZ WE DONT HAVE ANY FAMILY HISTORY...BUT TSILL CAN RARE EXTREME STRESSORS CAN LEAD TO ALZ? WHAT CAN WORK BEST FOR HIM RGHT NOW ?
HOPING FOR A RESPONSE..
THANKS
HAVE A NICE TIME AHEAD
