I am sure that sleep issues are familiar territory for many of us here, but I am curious about something:
For those of you who have children in therapy or school, or maybe you're just geting started down the evaluation highway, after a day of something new, is your ASD child more sleep disturbed than usual? Consistently, when we've done something that day where demands have been placed on Abby, that night is HE%$! She is crazed and does what is nothing short of extended sleep tantruming. We started ABA yesterday and last night was awful. She is inconsolable and impossible when these things get started and it takes hours sometimes for her to settle back down, if she does at all.
Does anyone else deal with this? Any advice?
Thanks.
