Ok guys, now I feel a slight sensation on the sole of my right foot tingling..not sure if it dry skin or maybe peripheral neurpathy...I just read something that one person posted on the board and now I am worried that it might be a symptom of ARS...I have no other symptoms except that I have dry skin..
I am realising that reading about all these symptoms can just make one sick..totally sick....it does NOT help in the least...
Could I have HIV ? My right foot is tingling.........dry skin on body...is that HIV? or should we just STOP reading all these frightening things?? Do I have peripherall.is that it? this tingling?
What do you guys think?

From the CDC:
The only way to know if you are infected is to be tested for HIV infection. You cannot rely on symptoms to know whether or not you are infected with HIV. Many people who are infected with HIV do not have any symptoms at all for many years.
The following may be warning signs of infection with HIV:
rapid weight loss
dry cough
recurring fever or profuse night sweats
profound and unexplained fatigue
swollen lymph glands in the armpits, groin, or neck
diarrhea that lasts for more than a week
white spots or unusual blemishes on the tongue, in the mouth, or in the throat
pneumonia
red, brown, pink, or purplish blotches on or under the skin or inside the mouth, nose, or eyelids
memory loss, depression, and other neurological disorders
However, no one should assume they are infected if they have any of these symptoms. Each of these symptoms can be related to other illnesses. Again, the only way to determine whether you are infected is to be tested for HIV infection.
Similarly, you cannot rely on symptoms to establish that a person has AIDS. The symptoms of AIDS are similar to the symptoms of many other illnesses. AIDS is a medical diagnosis made by a doctor based on specific criteria established by the CDC.

It could be due to stress and anxiety. The blood flow is blocked. My burning sensation in the right foot is not that noticeable now. I go out and try to forget this stress and it helps. I notice there is stiffness on my left arm too when I think and think and get nervous. Usually it is when I am thinking about this stress.

Ridiculous? As I said in my first message there, I realise that reading symptoms can be scary and thus my panick. If you dont like what I am asking, just dont read it!
As for symptoms, I am afraid that I might have caugth HIV in between the tests and thus my fears. And the yawn every 5 seconds, it is normal to be afraid. If you cannot speak in kinder terms, then please refrain from giving advice thanks and learn empathy. Thanks.

Ridiculous claims of ailment? Are yo nuts to speak this way????Have you seen what others ask??It is no less ridiculous so if I were you, I would spin my tongue seven times before saying such rubbish to scared people. It is no call for attention. I am scared and while I am doing my best to control it, I am human. If you are not happy with what I am asking, then dont read it!
Thanks.

Ok, I am calmer now. I did not like your tone but that is no justification for me to lose my cool. My claims were not 'ridiculous', no more than anyone's else here. Secondly, I worry that I might have caught HIV in between the tests and thus my question about Peripheral neuropathy. However, I dont think that having tingling in your feet only and no other symptom means HIV. It is no call for attention, just fear. The proof of that is my withdrawal from my friends a few weeks ago and me not telling anybody about this.I care not for attention so relax with the attention talk ok?
I did contemplate suicide if ever........I was never the kind of person to cry 'wolf'..however, this HIV thing terrifies me more than I thought possible. and why? I mean...if there is something after death, why the fear?I think its the pain that people fear more than anything else....by the way, there was a serious medical breakthrough in Sidney, Australia this February. Apparently, they have might have found a vaccine that would PREVENT Hiv from developing by strenghtening your immune system This vaccine has been tested on a few individuals and it works!
It might take 3-5 years to be released but maybe sooner.
People would just need this one shot and no more medicine for the rest of your life and you would live like a normal person (still have HIV in you but you would never feel it).

We understand your fears, but even if you went to a doctor complaining of yawning, tingling, and dry skin, there is no way he is going to say "yes" or "no" that you have HIV based on these common complaints. Like I said, I have extremely dry skin, and guess what? - my foot is tingling right now (seriously). The only way to know for sure is to get retested. Do not try to self diagnose yourself. You are driving yourself crazy reading about symptoms and thinking the worse. Look up another disease, such as MS, read the symptoms, and I bet you can convince youself that you have that disease. Believe me when I say that the mind is a powerful thing.

Correct. There and many viruses that can cause swollen lymph glands in the neck.

Many benign viruses. I've had swollen glands in the past and so have many people in the general public. If your swollen glands persist for weeks on end, then you should see a doctor. What other symptoms do you have, if any?

Once you start on the slippery slope of trying to diagnose HIV from symptoms, it is never ending. When I was concerned that I had contracted it, I was constantly on the web searching through every site I could find and did have a lot of the symptoms listed, as you say you have.
Despite reassurances that you will be given by others, the one and only thing that will put your mind at rest will be having the test.
It is a hard thing to do but you need to be strong and tell yourself that whatever you have done in the past cannot be changed. Having the test will not change whether you are HIV positive or not, but it will give you total peace of mind if you are negative and the help and care you will need if by any chance you are positive.
Please pluck up the courage to have the test.

I was just told that other STDs can cause or mimic symptoms close to peripheral neuropathy-such as: Herpes, Hepatitis B, Syphilis and Gonorrhea. Treatment can cure the problem.
And, one site said that peripheral neuropathy happens 6-8% of the time in the ARS stage of HIV. But, they don't say how long the neuropathy lasts because I know that ARS symptoms occur only 1-2 weeks and they are gone.
Stress can also mess the immune system from what I know.
