I have a problem that I am not sure is serious or not. I pass gas everyday all day long. It does not seem to matter what I eat or don't eat or if I eat at all I am still going to have gas. Sometimes there is an oder, but most of the time It is just air, but it is most embarrassing, because alot of time it comes out without warning and most of the time it is loud. I don't have any pain with it but I can feel it moving around before it happens most of the time. Sometimes I am constipated but not alot. Can anyone give me some advice on what I can do or take to elimate some of this gas. I have had a total hystrectomy about 4 years ago and someone told me once that that surgery will cause excessive gas. Please Help me.

I have IBS-D and pass excessive amounts of gas (like 20-30 rippers) within a 3-4 hour period. If I'm in a public place and I hold it in, I'm in so much pain that I have to go to the bathroom to relieve it.

I can't figure out any pattern other than it happens worst at night around dinnertime.

I finally discovered that dairy foods, including chocolate, was causing my gas.
