Hello,
Can you get herpes even while using protection during both oral and intercourse? I haven't had sex in about 8 months and we both used protection but now there are a couple tiny white bumps on my penis and have been concerned but they just showed up maybe not more than two months ago, or could it be a case of just too much masturbation and I have irritated the skin? They are not growing all, they don't hurt, theyr're just sitting there but they seem to be getting smaller so, that is some relief Thank you.

Yes, because herpes is spread through skin to skin contact. Let's say she had a sore that was weeping, and you touched it with your hand, and didn't wash them. And then you touched your penis. You could transmit the herpes virus to yourself.
Howevever, what you describe doesn't sound like herpes. Herpes blisters tend to be painful and they are blisters, not white bumps. And they don't usually last 2 months without changing and drying up and vanishing.

I agree, I have never had sores that didn't hurt or lasted longer than 10 days to clear up.

Hey glenns, well as they said in previous post you can still catch herpes while using protection. I just wanted to pipe in and say that not everyone gets blisters, myself for example. I only get bumps but they usually itch in that particular area that they are about to show up. Then they just go away, they never really hurt or at least they havent so far. The best thing to do, like everyone on here with H always says, is to go to the doctor especially while you might still be having potential "symptoms". They'll obviously be the one to give you the best analysis. Good luck man i hope its not...
