Has anyone experienced sharp shooting pains in their breasts? Have you been to the doctor for it? what causes it?

several years ago I went to the doctor for that. I had carsonoma/something to do with the milk duct. I had a partial breast removal of the left breast and the left lympnode removed. today I am having chemo treatments because that cancer spread to various parts of my bones and the cancer fluid resided in the space of my right lung.

I am pregnant and also have significant pain in one breast..it is tender all along the area around my underarm to the bottom..I am also getting worried..it's so tender it feels bruised..I also have a swollen lymph node under my arm..my ob/gyn has done nothing saying the tenderness is from pregnancy and the lymph node from shaving..

Have had stinging and bg fna 2 dif. times on the left. Cluster of cysts they think are lymph nodes on the right and have been looking at that every 6 mo, since the first abnormal mammo/sono etc, I am due for the 1 yr in a few months. In March had bad breast pains, outer left along with the pleurisy I had. The rheumy recommended a gyn to see if I should go for a mammo checkup earlier then I'm supposed to etc.

Hormonal fluctuations can cause cyclic breast pain. When I get sharp pains, I note it on a calander along with location (the breast as the face of a clock, facing away from you), like 6:00, outer edge, or closer to nipple etc. Cysts happened to be where I had the stinging the first time. Before the mammo I told them when and where. It helps. Do routine self breast exams once a month. It's a good thing...
