Hello,
Well i'm well on my way to reaching my goals, however I seem to have hit a stand still. I am jogging on the treadmill for about 15-20 mins a day and then I cool down by briskly walking another 15 mins. I have been doing floor work still and climbing many flights of stairs I am wondering if my diet may be the main factor in my stand still. I will tell you what I ate today and I would love opinions.
treadmill 30 mins
60 flights of stairs
bowl of yougurt for breakfast
accupuncture
frozen yougurt with fruit for snack(hard to get healthy snack in mall)
pasta with lean beef for lunch
handfull of grapes for snack
pasta with lean beef again for supper
weight training
I drink mostly water with all meals and snacks and throughout the day is usually water. On very rare occasions I will drink fruit juice to get extra calories if I feel low.
I also work 8 hours a day as a custodian....plenty of mopping and sweeping.
I know that today was not a great meal plan day most times I eat less pasta. Any ideas on how to improve?

You didn't state what your goals nor what you weigh now. From what you ate today, IMO seems too few calories. Extended periods of excessive calorie reduction will result in metabolism slowing down. Any increase in activity during this calorie reduction may come at the cost of your body breaking down your lean mass (muscle) for the necessary energy. This is bad!
Your goal should be to increase muscle mass thereby increasing your metabolic rate. This way you burn more calories even when you are sitting on your ***.
Do a google search on basal metabolism. There are many calculators that can determine your basal caloric range. From there you can reduce by 500-700 calories to safely reduce your excess body fat. Of course if you can incorporate several day of weight training you would be doing yourself a huge favor.
Good luck.

Hi,
I am a 32 year old female. I weigh about 105. I am about 5'3". If I worked it out right my BMR is about 1200. I am wanting to gain lean mussle as well as bulk up a little bit in my upper torso area. I need to work on abs and butt as well. I generally want to work on everything and just be generally fit and lean. I quit smoking 10 years ago and had gained 10lbs. 5 of which I still have. I have had two kids and have lose belly skin that I know wont go away but I would like to reduce its appearance. Thanks for any comments.
