Hi there.
Also taking aldera for about a month now. I'm also wondering about this. For me, I'm circumsized, it seems to be a REAL red rashiness thats shiny. Right at the bottom of the head to shaft, where the foreskin comes in contact, around the lip. Im really worried too. I also have a redish spot about the size of a dime near the top of the head. No blisters......just looks really irratated. There's gotta be someway we can tell its not herpies, right?
Worried.

Aldara is known to cause skin irritation and even blistering, so it is probably the aldara that is causing it. However, there is no way to be absolutely 100% sure that it is not herpes without having a culture done at your doctor's office. Since you are using Aldara, I would probably bet on it being a reaction to it though. :)

Yea. You're probably right. I had it on for like 8 hours one night. So maybe its just the Aldera. It was very red a couple days ago. It looks alil better today. Kind of odd that I've been on it a month........and only now am I getting the side effects.

It is well known by 3M and the medical community that Aldara induces herpes outbreaks to occur so you are not as off base as you might think about your observations during your treatment cycle with Aldara. Go to http://www.aldara1.com to see all the things 3M "forgot" to tell us all about their drug Aldara. It's not a pretty sight!
