I have noticed slight numbness in right outter thigh after walking for about 10-15 minutes sometimes less. I am overweight and have had some lower back pain from that. (Or that is what I have chalked it up to) does anyone else know anything about this sort of thing. It has just started in the last three weeks or so. And I mostly notice it when I am out shopping or something. When the numbness leaves it feels like the spot that gets numb has icy hot put on it (you know that cold sensation you get before it gets warm) I have been wondering what in the world is happening so I thought that I would try to ask here before I spend more money I don't really have at the doctor. Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated

Sciatic nerve, sciatica, pinched nerve,
Thank You for replying so quickily! And for giving me some idea what it may be! Do you go to the chiropracter for that sort of thing?

it is a myth that choroprators are not a good a doctors or not real doctors but when it comes to sciatica or possible sciatica you are talking nerve involvement. You want the big guns when you are dealing with nerves. I would suggest a neurologist, an MRI, a spine specialist, and other tests such as an EMG, but not a chiropractor. They do adjustments. i know that their ads say that they deal with sciatic nerve but that would never be my first line of defense
