Someone I know has been having chest pressure and is very, very tired. They have gone for many tests (heart tests ect.) and everything seems to always come back as normal. Does anyone have any suggestions on maybe what they think or do they have any advice? Thanks a bunch!!

"Pressure" is hard to quantify. If it's accompanied by pain (often dull) or burning, especially pain that radiated to the shoulders of left arm, shortness of breath and worsens with exertion and abates with a short rest, then it's more likely cardiac.
JUST the feeling of pressure accompanied by tiredness sounds more like world-weary anxiety or ennui weighing upon your friend.

I notice you said your friend is a female. Tell her not to give up on the cardiac tests as many don't show the true tale on females. I was having severe hot sweats, getting weak and dizzy and no matter how much sleep I got I was tired to the point of going to sleep at traffic lights. Long story , short, I went to the doctor's, he ran three ekgs and said I was just run down and my heart was in better shape than his. He suggested three days off from work with complete bed rest, some multi-vitamins and gave me a vitamin B shot. Guess that's what most doctor's would do for a 34 yr old woman. Three days later I lay in an emergency room having a full blown heart attack. Not meaning to scare her but hoping to save another from going through what I went through. Best wishes and good luck.
Dee
Dee thank you sooooo much, it's better to be safe that sorry, I always say. I'll definitely mention it to her, she's only 28 years old but, you never know.
My co-works best freind said she had chest pains 3 weeks ago and then told the doctor last week and the doctor said she was perfectly fine and didn't send her to any specialist in the heart, well this Sunday this 36 year old women told her husband that she didn't feel to good that her chest was still hurting and she went to bed then, her husband went in three hours later and found that she died. I think sometimes, you have to go the extra step to make sure that everything is okay. Thanks so much for the advice!! :) :)

Hello Airees and Dee,
Those are both verrrrrrry scarey stores. First of all, Airees, was an autopsy done on the 36 year old woman that died? Did they find anything specifically wrong with her heart???
And Dee, was anyone able to give you a good definitive reason as to WHY that heart attack snuck up on you like that? Were there any forwarning signs that you were having other than the fatique?
That's really scarey because all those symptoms sound like magnesium deficiency. If a person thinks it something as simple as that, they could start taking supplements thinking everything is okay and it's not.
I've always said that we can't rely on doctors to manage our health. WE have got to take control of our own situations and seek answers on our health conditions. Doctors are there to help us - not to direct us.
Good luck to you both!!

Thanks ZZZZLADY!
They did an autopsy on this 36 year old woman that passed away and found that she had ALL major artieries leading to the heart were blocked. I agree with you 100% and have found that we all have to take control of our own situations when it comes to doctors. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to give me your outlook on this.

Other than a strong family history of heart disease, the doctor's could not or/would not give me any reason as to why my heart attack hit so suddenly. The only signs/symptoms I had before the attack was the extreme fatigue, breaking out in a cold/hot sweat, dizziness and feeling sick to my stomach. These were all reported to the doctor who perfromed the first ekg's before my heart attack.
On the subject of taking control of ones own health , let me add. Before the heart attack I had been having alot of leg pain in my right leg along with right hip pain. After the heart attack, my cardiologist sent me to see a neuro surgeon who did lower back surgery. Pain contined to get worse and finally was told I would have to 'try' and live with it. I am now totally disabled at the age of 41 due to peripheral artery disease. Have had two major surgeries last year to try and save the right leg and facing at least four more to save other leg. Now I am being told that my carotid artery is also closing up and the atery that leads down into my right arm is 90% closed off making it very painful to use. If anyone thinks there is something wrong with their body, keep trying to find a doctor who will listen, Wish I had .
