View Full Version : Pains

Hey, this is pretty complicated, so I hope some one sticks through and helps me out. I would see a doctor, you know, but I don't have any health insurance.

Sometimes I feel like I have excess air in my chest, and I have to exhale hard to get it out. This is not all the time, but at least once a month.

I get a pain in my chest, over my left breast, and sometimes a tingling sensation, which is usually in that spot but sometimes more to the right.

I get a pain in my side, about 2 and a half inches below my armpit. I feel it stab when I laugh, and sometimes for no apparant reason.

My arm hurts sometimes, just above the elbow, horizontally across the humorous. Sometimes the pain generates from my arm pit all the way down to my palm and middle finger, in a straight line. It's a sharp, quick pain.

Sometimes I get a pain in my back, right next to my left shoulder blade, as though there's a ball jabbed in there. Once in a while there'll be a small stabbing pain in my neck as well, localized to one spot in about the middle of my neck.

I think this may all be related to nerve pain or muscle strain, but I'm not sure. I know I injured my chest muscles lifting up some chairs about 5 months ago...but it healed and seemed fine.

But the pain I get sometimes when I breathe in or laugh kind of worries me. I took a short walk with my friends, and started having the pain in the area (about 2 inches, maybe , below my arm pit). It took awhile to go away. I got it again the next day. This is what I'm most concerned about.

Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

It's the old chest pull acting up. They can sometimes bother us for MONTHS. It sounds like it's complicated with a nerve pinch that causes the numbness tingling down to your middle finger. If you know the finger, there are charts that show EXCACTLY which vertebral space is being compressed/irritated.

Wait it out but if you want try either some upper back traction or some floor stretches...lie down and try to make yourself as LONG as possible...relax for 5 minutes. Repeat daily. (Life tends to squash us down!!!)
