Do I need to eat more to gain muscle too? If so, when should I start eating more? Should I wait a few weeks into training, or just start eating a little bit more everyday?

If is not as simple as "eating more", it is about eating correctly. Your current situation - weight, body fat%, diet, exercise pattern, etc - have to be taken into account. You also have to take into account what your goals are and what your training routine will be. You have to look at your diet and correct any current imbalances before you think about increasing your calorie intake.
