my son was on super-nu thera and TMG. i have found he really dis likes taking the super-nu thera but takes the TMG no problem in some juice.
i have started only giving him TMG and only giving the super-nu thera when he will take it. but since then i have noticed his bowl movements have become softer again. is there anything i can give hime to help this.
[ not drugs]
also i have noticed he has calmed down a lot. some times i worry cos he just sits around. i don`t know if it is he is getting lazy or just he is getting older [10] when we take him to the park he won`t run around, it is like he can`t be bothered!
is it the TMG, and super-nu thera.
I am thinking of taking him off super-nu thera and putting up the dose of TMG. is it a good idea

Trisha, I give my son fish oil to help with his soft BM. It helps him alot, if he goes 1 day without it, I can tell. He gets 500mg a day. Hope this has helped http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hello,

I work very closely with a nutritionalist and he suggested magnesium glycinate. Magnesium pull fluid to the bowels. He suggested I start out with a small amount and steadily increase it until my son had a loose stool and then back off until he went after every meal and not so loose. My son doe's not go after every meal but he goes at least once a day. I give my son 1 capsule of magnesium glycinate every day (100mg). Hope this helps.

hi rachel
nice to hear from you again.
will the magnesium glycinate make jason`s stools too loose. they are really loose at the moment i want something to harden them up a bit but not too much if you get my meaning.

Hi Trisha,

If they are too loose right now then I would not use the magnesium glycinate. What do you think the cause of the loose stools is? My son has always been constipated. Sorry, I misunderstood.

Rachel
