I have awful scars on my legs (since childhood) from chronic dry skin and recently on my arms... from a stressful event (which provoked the itching) it's healing, but the scars are still pretty gruesome.

I have heard about Rosehip oil (from Chile) that helps lighten scars, I tried it and so far it's doing a minimal job. And now I am attempting to use this gel called Mederma. I am sure some of you heard of it before.

Does anyone have any opinions on either products? Or experiences rather? Does mederma only work for huge scars? Since mine are small and smoother, they're just dark against my pale skin, thus they stick out tremendously.
