I heard they only work on new, pinkish stretchmarks, not the older silvery white ones.

I went to the Dermo for acne on my face and he gave me Tazorac which had Retin-A in it. Well, I applied it to my face and after a while my whole face had a red tint to it!!! There was even a line of where I had applied it. As for the scars, I didn't see much of a difference, if there was a difference at all. I used Emu Oil for a while and that made a significant difference, mostly on my face, not so much on my stretch marks. But I used it for a month and it was amazing how much my scars had faded, but the Emu Oil seemed to quit while it was ahead, so I moved onto something else, Tea Tree Oil. That made all the red scars and my skin sort of blend in, it was really great. It has somewhat of a strong scent, but if used to the minimum, it soaks into the face quite rapidly.
