HI
Im so scared!!! I have been having a problem with (dryness of my vagina) I figured it was from a yeast infection from going to my Dentist about 3 weeks ago, i was on high dosage of antibiotics for almost a week, 2 different kinds. About a week and a half ago i noticed i was DRY down there. extremely dry. I was using vagisil but im still dry. (My mouth is dry also and my eyes seem to be dry) Well lastnight i noticed a red area right around the top of my hairline of my vagina. It is a bump and i thought it was a hair folicle. Today i woke up and i went in the shower and noticed i had another lump between my leg and vagina. It looks like a white head, I squeezed it and sticky stuff came out(not alot)It did hurt when i squeezed it. When i let water hit my bump it also hurt What could this be? I have no been sexually active for 2 months. My fiance (we have been together 9 years) Has cheated on me 3 times in the past and i never had sexual contact with anyone but him in the last 9 years. Im afraid of what this is. I dont know what to do. I am afraid to mention this to anyone let alone my GYN. Does your vagina get dry with a herpes outbreak? Im so scared!!!!!!!! Please help me.Kelly

A herpes outbreak can feel like anything, or in my case, nothing.
They're often mistaken for things like a yeast infection or irritation from sex, clothing, etc.
Being that you were on heavy antibiotics, I'd say that you should rule out yeast before you jump to too many conclusions. (I'm not a doctor, noone here can diagnose you, I'm just giving you my two cents.) Also, your bumps sound possibly like ingrown hairs, I get them in that second spot you mentioned when my bikini wax is growing out. Sometimes they can be pretty crazy-looking and I can usually get stuff out if I pop them (usually including a big long hair. sorry,,, kind of gross, i know.)
You may want to go to someone to rule out herpes, but it could be any number of things.

I second movingrightalong's post. I have never been able to squeeze a herpes blister because it hurts like hell, and whatever liquid does weep out of it is clear, not white. I also get ingrown hairs like what you described, and if anything, my herpes sores are more likely whe I've sweated heavily and not changed immediately, less likely when things are dry. (and being dry could easily lead to regular skin irritation of all kinds).

So if this Is Herpes, will i break out more and more as the days go on without treatment? Like right now i have 2 bumps im concerned about, if it is herpes will i wake up tomorrow with more? Also, I find it weird that i would have 2 hair folicles at the same time ya know what i mean? I never had bumps on my vagina or even in the area. Would vaginal dry ness have anything to do with a OB?

Hi hi,

I have had some of those tiny white bumps, they look like small zits, mines usually are ingrown hairfollicles, I don't really worry about mine when they get enlarged and become sort of reddish because they usually take about a day or two to disappear.

I also have been on antibiotics few weeks ago, like 3 or 4 of them.

I also have ended up with weird things after taking them, things similar as you, except I am a guy.
I had a bit of dryness in my penis which seems like it has improven now, thrush in my mouth which keeps coming and going, and sometimes a dry mouth, I don't think there is anything alerting if you'd taken antibiotics and had those symptoms.

Goodluck
