Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has used acidophilus in their treatment of H. I was reading some things about it and it is supposed to be an antiviral among other things and is suppose to speed healing of OB and possibly prevent OB. Has anyone been using it and if so how is it working for you? Thanks in advance.

I quit taking valtrex at my 1 year mark, and just take L-Lysine daily for my herpes. I have been taking acidophilis daily for years now because it works wonders to prevent yeast infections (which I used to get like every month). I have never heard about using it for herpes though...

I used acidophilus during my primary just to re-establish the intestinal flora. I used an extremely aggressive mix of vitamins and other, radical therapies. I was taking about 13 pills a day, drinking diluted 35% H2O2, and using DMSO and H2O2 topically. I don't think acidophilus actually affects the virus directly, but the only path to true healing is through the immune system. Acidophilus helps the immune system by balancing the bacteria in your stomach, and that makes you able to absorb more nutrients, which boost your immune system.

That's my take on it.
