Do any of you ever get the feeling that there is a bubble in your throat and chest. I had that feeling last night. I am starting to get a cold so this may be the cause, but it is a scary feeling.

I've felt bubbles rising in my right hand chest side. They are small bubbles (2mm radius?), moving in a line. Dunno what that was - but it wasn't always there. Just had it occur once in a while for a couple of months and then it just went away. Cheers, Raju. Calico_Kitten 04-08-2004, 09:19 PM I have acid reflux along with IBS and I often get a feeling of a bubble in my upper left side and a feeling like there is a bubble in my throat or that it is swelling. You might want to meet with your health practitioner to find out whether or not you have problems with your espohagus causing food to back up from your stomach into your throat. There are many things that can cause this but usually pepcid will alleviate the symptoms almost completely. the problem is that stomach acid when it is backing up in the esophagus because it isn't emptying into the stomach properly can cause ulcers and hernias and other symptoms. You may have one of those if there is blood in your stools. Not to worry you but if pepcid doesn't relieve the symptoms go see a doctor to eradicate other health issues. It is very possible that you have acid reflux along with IBS. |
