purple Yesterday I went for my double eyelid surgery and my eyes were so swollen and bruised that I looked horrendously horrible and I can't recognize myself ! I opted for the laser/cut method to the stitching method. Being a practical person,,,, I chose the laser one as it gives a permanent result compared to the stitch method which can lasts up to 5 years , when the stitch starts to wear off.
I would like to ask if anyone has undergo similar double eyelid surgery and would like to share her experiences ? How long does the swelling takes to go down ? I was told 5 to 7 days and altho it's the 2nd day today...I still see no difference. What's worrying me is that the swell is bad enough to create a thick double eyelid swell...which kinda worries me as I didn't want a eyelid crease too thick... my right eye seemed more bruised than the left...there are blue blacks and i'm not sure if using cold compress helps all the time...I was told to use hot compress by the nurse after a few days....
I'm suppose to go back to the specialist in about 4 days time to remove the stitches which is worrying...as im afraid to feel the tugging & pulling of my eyes while removing the thread  ....any advise from you guys ? Thanks
