View Full Version : Could I Be Infertile From Using An IUD?

Hello,

I recently had my IUD removed because my husband and I would like to have a baby. I had it in for almost a year and had no major problems with it other than it made menstrual cramping worse than before. It was difficult to get out because the string was cut too short and I was told that I have a retro uterus, meaning that it is tilted more toward my back (I'm not sure if that made it hard to get out but I was told that at the time that they were taking it out). We have this is only our second month of trying without success(timing my ovulation, having sex on my most fertile days), however I am worried about the possibility that the IUD could make me not able to have babies. I hope that I am just being paranoid, because we haven't been trying for long. Does anyone know anything about infertility and IUDs or have any advice or information for me. I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance.
