Hello everyone! I need a little advise please. My right foot is tingling like it's half asleep. It's mostly in my toes (mainly big toe). This is the second day and I'm starting to feel the tingling in my left big toe today. There is no pain, just the feeling of my foot starting to fall asleep. When I sleep (laying down) it goes away. I feel fine when I wake up, but after I walk for 10 minutes it comes and stays all day until I put my feet up. I'm 32 and never had health problems before, no back injuries ever. Can someone please tell me what this could be or has anyone had this? Is this the start of something worse to come? Thanks for taking the time to read this and I'm really grateful to anyone that replies!!!!!

Diabetes is the #1 cause of Neurapathy. Are you diabetic?

Could be tarsel tunnel. Not good. I had the surgery and was left with severe nerve damage.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I have finally found someone with symptoms similar to mine. I have burning,
tingling, tenderness in both feet. It goes away when I lie down. It started
in my left foot and moved on to both feet. I have had the problem for 2
years. The diagnosis is small fiber neuropathy. But that diagnosis is just a guess. The neurologist ruled out other things and called it that. Will it get worse? Hate to tell you, but if it is like mine, yes it will get worse. There are
some drugs that will help with the symptoms. I have been to podiatrists,
acupuncturist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, internal medicine. No help, except
with symptoms to this point. Let's stay in touch. If anything helps, I'll
let you know. Please do the same. I am probably going to Mayo Clinic as
my next step.

You know I just thought of something. You might ask your doctor about Neurontin. It is hard to get used to because of the way it makes you feel when you first start taking it but it does help. My pain goes way beyond the light nerve pain of tingling,,,it is severe burning, like an iron laid on the foot. The neurontin took that away after a few weeks of taking it. I started with 100 mg and worked my way up to 300mg x 3 a day.

you probably need to see a neurologist because there are cases of neuropathy for no reasons get it checked

Have you had your B-12 levels checked? Low levels can cause tingling in your feet.

Everyone seems to describe it differently. Try anything but surgery. I was left with nerve damage that left me with far worse symptoms.

If it's just in one spot like that it could be a pinched nerve. It just started so I wouldn't panic yet.
