Matthew's mom
05-29-2003, 11:23 PM
HI well I uh must have messed up I think. I did this once already but I don't see it anywhere. My name is Ruth and I'm a newbie. My sons name is Matthew, obviously. He is 2 1/2, he is diagnosed PDDNOS/atypical autistic. Anyway I am putting him on the super nu-thera multi-vitamin. And also I am going to take a 3 day class ABA training course that I am going to do myself cause I cannot afford to hire a professional to do it. I am praying that I will do this correctly and that it will be what works for him. Hope to hear from everyone soon.

Hello Ruth and welcome to the board.
You are going in the right direction since early childhood development has been shown to help alot.
My sister in laws have put both of their autistic sons in an early childhood development class at no cost to them. You do have to meet certain income guidelines but they are not hard to meet in most states. (I am in Arkansas) I have seen other people post similar programs in their states. Maybe someone else will be able to help you better. But again, welcome!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif

As your son is 2 1/2, he qualifies for Florida Early Intervention services, which are pro-rated on basis of Income.
