Is this possible ? My friend just weighted herself for the first time in like 8 months and she's still the same clothing size but had lost a huge amount of muscle (she had surgerie on her leg and stopped working out around that time . Now she finally started back to the gym only to find out she's dropped 25 lbs (she tripple checked it on 3 different scales ), she was quite muscular but still big too (around 225lbs before now 200 lbs) . It's just doesn't seem possible to me and she doesn't look any thinner (but softer for sure ..flabby as opposed to mucular . Has anyone heard of this happening before ??

I have never heard of this exact case happening before, but I do know from health adn PE classes plus years of going to the gym that muscle weighs more than fat and takes up less space. So it is very possible that the muscle she lost was equivalent to 25 pounds, and yet its not noticeable in her appearance.
