Hello all,
My 4 yr old son, Dakota was diagnosed today with Celiac Disease. Where as a normal reading for the blood test is <24, his reading is 61!
The doctor said he is a definite positive for the disease. :(
Now I have to find a health food store that sells the gluten-free bread and pasta. Dakotas little system is so sensitive that after I put him on this diet and he strays from it :nono: , he will surely end up vomiting again. :dizzy:
Now the doc wants me and my older son tested because we were all diagnosed some time ago with IBS and because of our symptoms and Dakotas positive blood work, he thinks we have Celiacs and not IBS.
I just wanted to let all that were following my posts about my son know what I found out today.
Take care all,
Chellaine
P.S. Doc also said that Celiac can sometimes cause joint pain so we have to wait a couple of weeks on the gluten-free diet to see if his hip pain goes away, if not, than we know it is caused from something else.
