I would like to know if anybody knows of any eye exercises that can help my eyes. Are there any techniques that can prevent my eyes from getting worse?

Are there any techniques that can prevent my eyes from getting worse? I've read in a magazine that it is good to do these eye "exercises" at least once a day. Without moving your head... Look up, down, far away, at your nose, left, right, and around in both directions. It's also said to be good to massage your eye muscles (of course with your eyes closed!) Do these a couple times a day. I'm not sure how much this improves your eyesight or if it does at all, but I guess it can't hurt. Hope this is somewhat what you're looking for! :) Kelly Quencher 04-09-2004, 12:03 AM Palming is also good for your eyes, or so I've heard, although it's not really an exercise. Just put your palms over your eyes for a while, with your fingers pointing up, making sure not to put pressure on your eyes. Just "cup" it. poizonivy 04-10-2004, 09:36 PM Well, I would explain some eye exercises but my book does an excellent job at it. There are 30 minutes routines that you do daily and they are all explained in the book and very easy to follow. This book is priceless! It's called Improve Your Vision Without Glasses or Contact Lenses by Steven M. Beresford (Author), I had to get glasses in 9th grade. a year later i went back to the eye doctor because I wanted contact lenses. I I was shocked when the doc told me I went from -1.75 to -2.25! I was scared of my vision worsening so I got online and looked up methods of improving vision. Eye exercises sounded good so I bought the book and almost 3 years later my eyes have not gotten any worse! My right eye has improved actually. That book is a MUST buy for everyone who wears glasses/contacts. |
