Hi, I was wondering if any of you out there following the Adkins plan could help me out a bit. I am considering trying this plan. I would LOVE to loose 20lbs by June, and thought this may be the quickest way to do it. My questions are:

1. What do you eat a day?
2. How much exercise do you do?
3. How much weight have you lost in a period of time?

THANK YOU in advance for all that will respond. Any information you can give me would be great. :bouncing:

Hey there, that's awesome that you are going on the Atkins!
I've been on it about 3 weeks now...I lost 12 pounds the first week, and about 6 the past 2 weeks.
It's amazing how the weight is coming off...I was skeptical about it at first, and I'm a carb freak...but I thought I would give it a try anyway.
I sugguest you learn about induction and the complete list of all the foods you can have.
Good luck with your diet! :D

I eat bout 1200 calories and 20grms of carbs.Im on induction still ,but so far ive lost
12 pds in 8 days. For breakfast i eat 2 eggs with 1 tbs cream scrambled. For lunch i eat either a chicken or hamburger or steak salad. For dinner i sometimes make fried flounder or chicken with atkins bake mix and a salad and some kind of low carb veggie. If i havent used up all my carbs i eat and atkins indulgence ice cream bar or sometimes a hershey i grm candy bar but only if im craving chocolate. On induction your mostly suppossed to stay with meat ,cheese and salads and veggies. But i find i can still have a treat and lose, but mind you i dont have the treat everyday.Being that the ice cream and candy bar dont seem to stall me i eat them from time to time. But you might not want to go the treat route till you finish induction.I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.Hope this helps

My Bp is a little high. I believe it is from being overweight and the stress of being overweight. I hope that if I start Adkins, I will be healthier and happier.
