... that you can't live without? I'm trying to sort of um, upgrade my beauty regimen and I thought it would be helpful to find out what other people use and love! Would anyone be so kind?

Thanks! I'm using Bare Minerals right now too, and liking it pretty well... I would like to find a new shampoo and conditioner... I'm using L'Oreal Vive for Dry/Rebellious hair or whatever, and I like that pretty well, but I'm thinking about using the Sheer Blonde sham/cond. I'm wanting to find a good self-tanner too. I've been using Endless Summer, but it looks pretty orange and streaky, smells horrible, and I'm afraid to try it on my face and stuff.

Rubydoo, what does Estee Lauder Idealist Serum do?

Kayley, what does Bare Escentuals Clear Radiance do?

And finally, jodierenee, does that mascara lengthen your lashes?

I sound so ignorant when it comes to this stuff! Thanks for your help!

There's no way I could only pick one product! LOL!

I'd have to have:
Aromaleigh or Geografx mineral makeup/blush
my custom mascara from reflectdotcom
Giovanni shampoo
jojoba oil
Aromaleigh Lavender Mandarin facial cleanser
Skin Biology CP serum & Exfol serum
Sebastian Shaper hairspray

I could probably survive with just those items, but gosh, I hope I never have to make that decision!

Bare Essentials i.d. lipgloss in sheer cherry
Poshe 4in1 basecoat nail polish and Essie polishes for colors
Sebastian Shaper spray
Weleda Calendula Cream for irritations, etc.
body scrub is epsom salt & grapeseed oil mix with lavender ess. oil
baking soda as facial scrub and mixed w/ shampoo for clarifying

yes, the mascara really lengthens my lashes. My lashes are already pretty long though, i use it mainly for the seperation factor. I dont ever have to use one of those lash brushes. It comes in waterproof too, but i find that to be a little more clumpy and drying than the regular kind

The Bare Essentials Clear Radiance is a beautiful sheer color I usually either mix with the foundation or brush lightly over my face. It just gives you a lovely glow. I also sometimes use it wet as an eyeshadow. The thing about the mineral makeup is, a little goes a long way, so you don't have to buy it very often.

Hey, you'd only be ignorant if you were afraid to ask! :)

Let's see, i'm not feeling that optimistic about my cosmetics lately, so i can only really recommend a few:

jojoba oil

'Faces' sunscreen by banana boat

maybelline black kohl eyeliner (though i think they might have discontinued it)

I cannot find the perfect mascara! I need to use waterproof formulas but unfortunately, they're usually drier and clumpier than the washable ones. Can anyone recommend an excellent, non-clumping, non-smearing, waterproof mascara? (The mascaras already mentioned didn't specify whether they were waterproof or not.)

Hi Again:

lovely.lady..

the Estee Lauder Idealist serum has helped my uneven skin tone. I am 41, with brown hair - light-medium complexion.

I put on idealist after I wash my face (I use Bath Body Works Milk Thistle $12).

The idealist goes on sooooo smooth, and my face feels great. My uneven, discolored skin is looking much better, and I think my large pores around my nose are also shrinking.

It doesn't have any sunscreen though, so I use a light moisturizer on top before I put on any foundation.

Rubydoo.

Thanks again! I think I will try the Max Factor mascara that a few of you mentioned; I'm really determined to find a mascara that will lengthen!

So a few of you had jojoba oil on your list- what does that do? Is it to be taken orally or something to help complexion or something of that sort?

Does the Bare Minerals Clear Radiance make you look kind of shiney? That's pretty much the only complaint I have about this line of makeup... the stuff I use is supposed to give you a "natural glow" but seeing as how my face is already pretty oily is just makes me look more oily!

If you don't end up liking the Max Factor mascara, try Sky High Curves by Maybelline. I have been using it for about 8 months now - I love the extension it gives.

Question though....how long does your mascara last? Does it dry out before it runs out? I find that mine drys out after about 2 months. Is this normal? I know that I am lazy and sometimes don't screw the cap on all the way.

Anyhooo......time to go back to work...rubydoo...

I don't think the Clear Radiance makes me look shiny at all. I'm going to try the Sky High Curves mascara too because I haven't found any I like and it's worth a try!

Here is my one favorite beauty "find" of all time! Clinique water-resistant eyeliner. (I hope they still make it...it last so long...I'm using the one I bought 6-7 years ago). It looks like black eyeshadow with a fine brush. You wet the brush and use the eye-liner like a paint brush. You learn how to get just the right amount of moisture for a perfect line. No pulling like with a pencil and it lasts all day. I know I should probably buy a new one, they say bacteria builds up in old make-up, but I continue to use this one with no problems. The one I had before lasted years and I ended up throwing it away before it was used up and bought the one I'm now using. I'm one of those people who jump from one make-up to another and love to try anything new, but I'm loyal to this eye liner!!!

Wow- 6-7 years!!! I went to the mall yesterday and bought some Clinique stuff- not makeup... I bought a mask, and the pore minimizer T-zone gel, and I love them both! I also bought some Bath and Body Works self-tanner, which I also really like- it has a built-in bronzer which helps prevents streaks and the color turns out brown, not orange for once! Once I get the time I'll buy that mascara that was recommended... and also the Clear Radiance once I make my next order of BM (I'm not afraid now, cause the Clinique pore minimizer keeps me matte- yay!) All of you have really helped me a lot, thanks so much!
