Ok - started having that I-have-a-rock-in-my-lower-lid feeling last night and woke up this morning with a full blown stye. I have had these before and sometimes they are minor, sometimes they become huge and very embarrassing. Is there anything I can do (besides warm compresses) to make this go away faster?!

An eye doctor can lance the stye. Make the warm compresses as warm/hot as you can stand it without burning your eyes.

In order to prevent future styes, keep hands off of face at all times. Bacteria from hands get on the eyelid and then you are in trouble.

I get them all the time too. The bigger ones I get make me look AWFUL! Like someone punched me in the eye! I won't go anywhere without sunglasses with those kind! I have found NOTHING helps them go away faster....not even the hot compresses. But if I see the "pimple" I pop it and it goes away faster. But sometimes, I have the styes without the pimple. I seriously think I get them due to low immune system. Because I do not touch my face and I keep it clean.

I have an awesome way to cure a sty. Heat a tea bag and place it on the eye. It will naturally bring the infection ot and help with the swelling. Also you need to throw out all of you make up and anything that touches your eye so you don't keep getting it. Good luck, let me know if it worked, it always has for me.
